Welcome to Cualli Cakes. My name is Cashmere. I’m a mom of two running a vegan home bakery in Beaverton, Oregon. Cualli Cakes is named after my beautiful daughter, Cualli. Her name means “good” in Nahuatl and goodness is at the heart of everything I create.

This menu is a love letter to my mom, Joy Lovato, who passed away on November 25, 2023. She was pure magic. Some of my most treasured memories are of the celebrations she created for me and my sister. Parties filled with imagination, Joy and so much love. She embraced mess, art and wonder. She encouraged exploration and gave us the freedom to be ourselves. She had a gift for making everyone feel special. She danced to the beat of her own drum, always in a fabulous pair of shoes. She was my best friend and my other half.

Before she passed, my mom used to tell me that I make beautiful cakes, the kind that are captured in photographs and remembered long after the candles are blown out.

At Cualli Cakes, everything is baked from scratch with intention and heart. Each cake is made to feel personal, nostalgic and a magical too.

We don’t just bake desserts here. We bake memories of arms that hold us, hands that knead, mix and twirl. Of laughter in kitchens and love passed down through generations.
