POLICIES

PAYMENT TERMS

1. A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required to secure the event date.

2. No event date is considered reserved until the signed Agreement and required retainer have been received.

3. Final payment is due no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

4. Events booked within fourteen (14) days of the event date require full payment at the time of booking.

5. Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation of services without refund.

6. Accepted payment methods include:

* Credit Card

* Debit Card

* Electronic Invoice

* Cash (if approved)

SETUP, BREAKDOWN & VENUE REQUIREMENTS

1. Client shall ensure Provider has access to the venue at least 1.5 hours prior to the event start time.

2. A designated setup area must be clean, accessible, and available upon Provider’s arrival.

3. Provider is not responsible for delays caused by venue restrictions, weather conditions, power outages, or circumstances beyond Provider’s control.

4. If venue access is delayed, setup quality or completion may be affected.

5. Client is responsible for obtaining all venue approvals required for services.

6. Provider reserves the right to modify setup arrangements when necessary due to venue limitations or safety concerns.

USE OF RENTAL PROPERTY

The following items remain the sole property of Cakewalk Cake Shop unless otherwise purchased by the Client:

* Dessert carts

* Champagne carts

* Bloom bars

* Display stands

* Risers

* Serving trays

* Decorative props

* Linens

* Signage

* Rental equipment

Client agrees to exercise reasonable care over all rental items during the event.

All rental items must remain at the event location and may not be relocated without Provider’s consent.

DAMAGES, LOSS & REPLACEMENT COSTS

Client assumes responsibility for any damage, theft, destruction, or loss of rental items caused by guests, venue staff, vendors, or attendees.

Replacement and repair costs shall be billed to the Client at current market value.

Damaged or missing inventory may result in additional charges including labor, repair, replacement, and shipping expenses.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING RELEASE

Provider may photograph and use images of event displays, desserts, floral arrangements, and setups for marketing, social media, website, advertising, promotional materials, and portfolio purposes.

Provider will not disclose private personal information without consent.

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY

Client Cancellation

* All retainers/deposits are non-refundable.

* Cancellation more than thirty (30) days before the event forfeits the retainer but releases Client from remaining balance obligations.

* Cancellation within thirty (30) days of the event may result in forfeiture of all payments made.

* Custom products already ordered or created remain non-refundable.

Rescheduling

One event date transfer may be permitted based upon availability and must be requested in writing.

Transferred payments may be applied to the new event date at Provider’s discretion.

FORCE MAJEURE

Provider shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

* Severe weather

* Natural disasters

* Government restrictions

* Venue closures

* Utility failures

* Acts of terrorism

* Pandemics

* Civil disturbances

LIABILITY

1. Provider shall not be liable for injuries, accidents, allergic reactions, property damage, or losses occurring during the event except where caused by Provider’s gross negligence.

2. Client assumes responsibility for informing guests of any food allergies or dietary concerns.

3. Provider makes no guarantees regarding guest participation, attendance, weather conditions, or event outcomes.

4. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Cakewalk Cake Shop from claims arising from misuse of rented equipment or services after setup completion.
