This recipe is so near and dear to my heart. It was shared with me by my late friend/sister, Harriet Green. One of our last conversations was an argument about the way she'd written the recipe. She'd written 3 1/4, but she meant 3/4. Jacked me up... lol. We didn't speak for a while after that, and the last call from her was to apologize. She died 2 weeks later. This pound cake is rich, buttery, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness, with just a hint of lemon!
