Yes! We thoughtfully source all of our ingredients and we shop local and organic as much as possible!
What is the best way to store my bread?
All of our products here at Bread & Berry are thoughtfully packaged to preserve your breads and baked goods for as long as possible. We only use hard cheeses in our breads and bagels and all of our glazes are powdered sugar based and never contain cream cheese. This means none of our baked goods require refrigeration!
How long will my bread and baked goods last?
All of our breads, bagels, rolls, and cookies will last 4-5 days at room temperature in their original packaging.
Our scones, muffins, and cinnamon rolls are best enjoyed within 2-3 days at room temperature but can also be refrigerated for up to a week.
All of our jams are shelf stable for a year. Once opened they should be refrigerated and used within a month.
Can I freeze my sourdough?
Absolutely! You can slice your bread and freeze it with parchment paper between each slice or you can wrap the entire loaf in plastic wrap to store for later.
The slices thaw on the counter in a few minutes or can be toasted and baked directly from frozen.
Whole loaves will need to be sprayed with water (or you can just run it under the tap) to make sure the crust is wet. Then pop back in the oven at 350 checking every few minutes until the crust is crisp again.
Slices and whole loaves can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Can I buy frozen cookie dough?
As of right now I don’t offer frozen or par-baked dough. I might in the future, but for now you can enjoy a batch of freshly baked cookies!
