About

✨️We’re Manoella and Ananda, the founders of Brazil Sweets & Treats! We started this venture because of our shared love for baking, inspired by our childhood experiences with family recipes. We both moved to Canada about five years ago, with Manoella now living in Lloydminster and Ananda in Cold Lake—allowing us to serve both cities.

Cooking traditional Brazilian dishes not only brings us a sense of home but also allows us to share a piece of our culture with you.

We hope you enjoy these treats as much as we love making them!♥️

What Are 'BRIGADEIROS'?

Let’s dive into the sweet history of 'brigadeiros'! 🇧🇷✨ Brigadeiros were born in Brazil in the 1940s. These sweets were invented by the wife of Air Force Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, who was a candidate in their 1946 presidential elections. She whipped up batches of this delicious candy and served them at his fundraisers. The treats became so popular that they were named "brigadeiros" in his honor! Over the years, 'brigadeiros' have become a staple at every Brazilian celebration, from birthdays and weddings to family gatherings and simple nights in. ♥️These sweet balls are loved by everyone, young and old. Taste a piece of Brazil today 😋
