Frequently Asked Questions 🤍
Who is behind Becky’s Bakehouse?
Becky’s Bakehouse is owned and operated by Becky, the former owner of Carlito’s Bakery in Manchester. After years of creating cakes, cupcakes, and pastries, I’m continuing my passion for baking from my home kitchen with a new chapter: Becky’s Bakehouse.
Is Becky’s Bakehouse connected to Carlito’s Bakery?
Becky’s Bakehouse is my new home-based baking business. While Carlito’s Bakery has closed as we prepare for a move out of state, many of the recipes and flavors you know and love have come with me! I’m also introducing new recipes and flavors along the way.
What makes your baked goods different?
I believe delicious desserts can still be made with thoughtful ingredients. I use many of my original recipes from Carlito’s Bakery, along with new recipes that I’ve developed with a slightly more wholesome approach.
My baked goods are made without artificial food colors and without seed oils, whenever possible. I focus on quality ingredients while still making sure everything tastes indulgent and delicious.
Do you use artificial colors?
No! I do not use artificial food dyes. Instead, I use natural color sources to create beautiful colors for my cakes, cupcakes, and other treats.
Do you use seed oils?
I do not use seed oils in my recipes. Depending on the recipe, I use ingredients such as real butter or avocado oil to create delicious, tender baked goods.
Are your recipes the same as Carlito’s Bakery?
Some of your favorite Carlito’s Bakery recipes are coming with me! I’m also working on new recipes and putting my own spin on familiar favorites. Becky’s Bakehouse is a fresh start, but you may recognize some of the flavors that made Carlito’s special.
Are your desserts “healthy”?
I wouldn’t call them health food — they’re still desserts! 🤍 My goal is simply to create delicious treats using thoughtful, simple ingredients and avoid artificial colors and seed oils.
Do you offer custom cakes?
Yes! I offer custom cakes for birthdays, celebrations, showers, and other special occasions. Custom designs are priced based on the size of the cake, flavors, decorations, and amount of labor involved.
Where are orders made?
Becky’s Bakehouse is a home-based cottage food bakery. All orders are made fresh in my home kitchen and prepared according to applicable cottage food requirements.
How far in advance should I place my order?
I recommend ordering as early as possible, especially for custom cakes and larger orders. Availability is limited because every order is made by hand, and I want to make sure I have enough time to give each order the attention it deserves.
Do you accept last-minute or same-day orders?
Last-minute orders may not always be possible. Because everything is made to order, I need time to purchase ingredients, prepare, bake, decorate, and package your order. Availability will always depend on my schedule.
How do I place an order?
You can browse the available treats and submit an order request through the Becky’s Bakehouse website. Once I receive your request, I’ll review the details and confirm availability, pricing, and next steps.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. For custom orders, under $100 must be paid in full or order over $100.00 a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to officially reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 1 week prior to your pick up date.
Do you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?
Vegan and gluten-free options may be available upon request and can be accommodated for an additional cost, depending on the item.
While we do not have any pets in our home, Becky’s Bakehouse is not a wheat-free, gluten-free, nut-free, or peanut-free kitchen. Common allergens are present and cross-contact may occur.
If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, please specify this when submitting your order request so we can discuss available options and determine whether we can safely accommodate your needs.
Will you be adding new flavors?
Absolutely! ✨ One of the things I’m most excited about with Becky’s Bakehouse is creating new recipes and bringing you seasonal flavors, nostalgic favorites, and unique desserts that you may not have seen before.
Why did you start Becky’s Bakehouse?
Becky’s Bakehouse is a new chapter for me. I wanted to continue doing what I love — baking and creating beautiful desserts — while having the freedom to experiment with new recipes, thoughtful ingredients, and a more intimate home-bakery experience.
Thank you for supporting my new beginning. 🤍
From Carlito’s Bakery to Becky’s Bakehouse, I’m so excited to keep baking for you!
