My love for baking started in my grandma’s kitchen. I grew up watching her bake cakes and cook for our family completely from memory. As a little girl, I thought that was the coolest thing in the world, and from then on, I dreamed of having my own bakery some day. As I got older, that dream never went away, but I started believing it wasn’t enough. I wanted a profession that would make a bigger impact and help people. Somewhere along the way, I convinced myself baking couldn’t do that. But I realized I had been measuring purpose all wrong. After recently moving from Georgia to North Carolina to be closer to family, it felt like the right time to bring this dream back to life. Bake by Faith exists because I realized God doesn’t ask us to compare our gifts to someone else’s, he asks us to use them. Purpose isn’t found in what we do, it’s found in how we love and serve others through it. When I’m not in the kitchen, I work professionally in marketing and social media. Merging these two passions together has been one of the most rewarding parts of bringing my high school side hustle back to life.
