Hi my name is Hailey and I’m your baker! Let me tell you a little bit about how I got into cake decorating! When I was about 11 I discovered Cake Boss and that is all that I would watch. This made me decide that I wanted to become a cake decorator when I was older. Well… that’s not really a realistic job right, so I gave up that dream and moved on to trying to figure out what I wanted to do instead. Fast forward to my junior year of high school when I started looking for a new job, the thought of cake decorating popped back into my head so I decided to see if any bakery’s were hiring. I found one that was and I started there as the front counter person, after being there about a year I started learning how to ice cupcakes and then eventually cakes. I continued to decorate at the bakery until about half way through my sophomore year of college when I left and decided I would start my own bakery from home. Well… life happens and I started renovating my house which meant I didn’t have a kitchen and so I would have to wait. These renovations took about a year and a half which was way longer than we had originally planned. But finally after a year and a half I have a finished kitchen and a nice new double oven, which means I get to do this! Which I love and am so excited to start this new journey!
