Order Confirmation Orders are confirmed once full payment or the required deposit is received. Orders are not placed on the calendar without payment. Custom desserts are made specifically for each customer and require advance notice. ⸻ Pickup Responsibility Once a cake or dessert leaves The Cake Canvas, the customer assumes full responsibility for the product. The Cake Canvas is not responsible for damage, melting, texture changes, or scent absorption that may occur after pickup due to transportation, storage conditions, or handling. ⸻ Cake Storage & Serving For the best flavor and texture: • Store cakes in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight. • If refrigerated, remove the cake 30–60 minutes before serving to allow the cake and buttercream to soften properly. • Cakes may absorb scents if stored near foods with strong odors. Improper storage may affect the moisture, texture, and flavor of the cake. ⸻ Refunds & Replacements Due to the custom and perishable nature of baked goods, all sales are final once an order has been picked up or delivered. If there is a concern with your order, it must be reported within 2 hours of pickup and include clear photos of the cake before it is cut or served. At the discretion of The Cake Canvas, a resolution may include: • Store credit • Partial refund • Replacement order ⸻ Design Disclaimer All cakes are handmade and custom decorated. While inspiration photos are welcome, final designs may vary slightly due to artistic interpretation and available materials. ⸻ Pickup & Meet-Up Policy Please be respectful of scheduled pickup and meet-up times. If you are running late, please communicate as soon as possible. If a customer arrives significantly late without notice, the pickup may need to be rescheduled to accommodate other orders and customers. The Cake Canvas reserves the right to adjust pickup times if the original pickup window is missed. Timely pickups help ensure your desserts are received in the best quality and condition.

The Cake Canvas operates in a home kitchen that processes and uses common allergens including milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and other allergens. While every effort is made to prevent cross-contact, The Cake Canvas cannot guarantee that any product is completely free of allergens due to shared ingredients, equipment, and preparation areas. Customers with food allergies or sensitivities should exercise caution when ordering. The Cake Canvas is not an allergen-free kitchen, and products may contain or come into contact with allergens at any time during preparation. By placing an order with The Cake Canvas, the customer acknowledges and accepts the potential risk of allergen exposure and agrees that The Cake Canvas is not liable for any allergic reactions or health-related issues that may occur from consuming our products.

Full payment or the required deposit must be received to confirm an order. Orders are not placed on the calendar until payment is received. The remaining balance (if applicable) must be paid before pickup or delivery.

Due to the preparation and time required for custom desserts, deposits and payments are non-refundable if an order is cancelled. If a cancellation occurs, store credit may be offered at the discretion of The Cake Canvas.

Reference photos are welcome; however, all cakes are handcrafted and may vary slightly in color, design, and decoration. The Cake Canvas will do its best to recreate the requested design while maintaining artistic quality.

Cakes are fragile and should be transported carefully on a flat surface in a cool vehicle. The Cake Canvas is not responsible for damage that occurs during transportation after pickup.

Some cakes may contain non-edible supports or decorations such as dowels, toppers, or decorative elements that must be removed before serving. Customers are responsible for ensuring these items are removed prior to consumption.
