Story Behind The Name - Rolling Pin Bakery

Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my Grandma Winnie, especially in the kitchen. She’s the one who taught me how to cook and bake. I knew I wanted to name my bakery around her. She love baking, flowers, and cats so I brainstormed ideas around those things. Then, I thought of an object she used a lot - a rolling pin. We use to roll out pastries and other goodies together. Sometimes they would be spread across her whole kitchen table. One of the last letters she wrote to me had a sentence that said “…rolling out and making pastries, keep these memories alive”. It just seemed so fitting. So I came up with the bakery name “Rolling Pin Bakery” in her memory. I designed my logo around some of her favorite flowers that she had in her yard. The cover picture on this page is the bakery name in her handwriting. My Grandma was very special to me and I will be keeping those memories alive through every cake I make. 💕
